Kane County Accident In Which Driver Leaves The Accident Scene

There was an accident in Geneva on December 21, 2014 involving two cars.  One man has been charged with multiple offenses regarding this accident.

The accident happened as one car was driving behind another at Randall Road and Williamsburg Avenue.  According to police reports, a car driven by Marco A. Perez-Velasco, 27, of St. Charles, “rear-ended” another car and left the accident scene.  He was later apprended by police.

The woman driving the car that was “rear-ended” was taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva for treatment of accident injuries, which included neck injuries.

An excerpt from the December 31, 2014 Northwest Herald article titled “St. Charles man charged with felony after crash with injuries“:

Marco A. Perez-Velasco, 27, of the 1800 block of Covington Court, St. Charles, was charged Dec. 21 with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in injury – a felony – driving without insurance, driving without a valid license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident/driving too fast for conditions.
