Kane County Hit & Run Collision
A St. Charles Township bicycle accident occurred Sunday (May 12, 2019) that led to a 7-year-old girl being seriously injured.
According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, this St. Charles Township bicycle accident occurred on Geneva Avenue near St. Charles. The accident occurred when a pickup truck struck the 7-year-old girl as she rode her bicycle. The pickup truck left the accident scene and was later found a few blocks from the accident scene.
The girl was flown to Lutheran General Hospital for treatment of her accident injuries. While her condition was not publicly available, the accident injuries were considered to be potentially life-threatening in nature.
The alleged driver of the pickup truck later turned himself in.
