Roadside Safety Check (RSC) Scheduled In Kane County, Illinois
According to the Illinois State Police (ISP), the ISP will conduct a Roadside Safety Check (RSC) in Kane County from 11 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, until 4 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22.
According to an ISP news release, this RSC will be held on the westbound exit ramp from the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) to Illinois Route 31.
This RSC’s goals will includes watching for automobiles being operated in an unsafe manner, in addition to monitoring for other traffic safety problems, for example motorists who’re driving while impaired (drunk driving).

Alcohol and drug impairment is a significant factor in nearly 40 percent of all fatal motor vehicle crashes in Illinois. RSCs are designed to keep our roads safe by taking dangerous DUI offenders off the road.
This project is funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.
