Huntley Minivan Crash Leads To Fatal Accident Injuries

Fatal Kane County I-90 Crash

A Huntley minivan crash has led to the death of a 10-year-old boy. This Huntley minivan crash involved a minivan that left the roadway while traveling on westbound I-90 Sunday (March 17, 2019) evening.

According to the Illinois State Police, preliminary crash investigation findings indicate that this Huntley minivan crash happened as a minivan, driven by Stacy Blume, 38, of Northlake, was driving on the westbound I-90 ramp to Route 47. Shortly after 6:45 p.m., the minivan left the roadway and rolled over onto its roof in a retention pond. The reasons for this apparent loss of vehicle control does not appear to be known at this time.

At the time of this Huntley minivan crash, there were three occupants in the van; Blume, a 10-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy.

Two men were able to assist Blume and the girl out of the van. However, the boy – who was later identified as Cameron V. Simmons – was unresponsive when he was taken out of the van.
