Fatal Montgomery Pedestrian Accident
There was a fatal Montgomery pedestrian accident Wednesday (August 1, 2018) night. The pedestrian was critically injured and later died at the hospital.
According to Montgomery Police, the accident occurred in the 1300 block of Douglas Road at approximately 8:45 p.m. At that time, it appears that the man was crossing Douglas Road in a westbound direction, just north of Montgomery Road, when he was hit by a man driving a 2015 Nissan Sentra.
The man hit was identified as a 59-year-old resident from the Montgomery area. He was taken to Rush Copley Medical Center for treatment of his accident injuries, and was in critical condition. He later died from his accident injuries.
The driver of the Nissan was identified as a 19-year-old man.
This Kane County pedestrian accident remains under investigation. The Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team is involved.
