Fatal I-88 Crash In Kane County
There was a fatal four-vehicle crash Friday morning (December 15, 2017) on Interstate 88 (I-88) in western Kane County.
According to the Illinois State Police, the crash happened on I-88 just west of Route 47 near mile post 108.5. This is near Sugar Grove.

Samuel Gradman, 19, died after a blue 2003 Infiniti passenger car he was driving failed to yield to construction equipment and struck a black 2015 Ford pickup truck, lost control and proceeded to crash into two parked Illinois Tollway maintenance trucks, police said.
At the time of the crash, the left lane was closed for repair.
Police said the crash, which caused traffic delays, occurred just west of Route 47, near milepost 108.5, where the left lane was closed for maintenance repair.
The driver of the Ford, identified as a 49-year-old Maltma man, was taken to Kidwaukee Hospital for treatment of a minor injury.
The accident investigation continues.
