Fatal Kane County “Hit & Run” Accident

A fatal Aurora bicycling accident occurred Saturday (November 14, 2020) evening. This fatal Aurora bicycling accident involved a man riding a bicycle being fatally hit by a vehicle. This occurred on Aurora’s east side. After the collision occurred the driver of the vehicle left the accident scene – i.e. the accident was a “hit & run.”

According to an APD news release, Aurora’s 911 Telecommunications Center received reports just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 14, 2020) of a bicyclist struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Montgomery Road and White Eagle Drive.

Aurora police officers and Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene and found a man lying in the roadway. Paramedics attempted to perform lifesaving measures, but unfortunately pronounced the man dead on the scene.

The man has now been identified as Dragomir Misic, 27, of the 2300 block of Avalon Court in Aurora.

The accident investigation continues. This accident investigation involved an accident reconstruction that occurred Saturday evening.

Police continue to search for the driver of the vehicle. Those who may have information concerning the driver or the collision are asked to contact the Aurora Police Department at 630-256-5330. Alternately, call Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000 to report information anonymously.
