Vehicle Collision In Kane County

Two vehicles collided in a “T-bone crash” on Route 25 at Seminary Drive on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.

According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at approximately 6:40 a.m., as a Cadillac pulled out of Seminary Drive in front of a Jeep.

An excerpt from the May 13, 2015 Northwest Herald article titled “Drivers injured in 2-car crash in St. Charles Township“:

Police said the Cadillac failed to stop at the stop sign for eastbound traffic on Seminary Drive. Lt. Pat Gengler, spokesman for the sheriff’s office, described it as a busy intersection and said it was a T-bone crash.

The driver of the Cadillac, identified as Mario Castillo, 33 of Bloomingdale, was taken to Delnor Hospital, and was treated for accident injuries that were considered to be potentially “life-threatening” in nature.

The driver of the Jeep, Samuel Ogden, 27, was also taken to Delnor Hospital.  His accident injuries were considered to be “non-life-threatening” in nature.

According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, neither driver appeared to be wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The accident investigation is ongoing.
