Kane County Loss Of Control Accident
There was a Route 31 crash Tuesday (February 19, 2019) after which the driver died. This accident involved an apparent loss of control after which the car went off the road and crashed into a tree between Lincoln Avenue and Miller Road.

Upon arriving on the scene officers located a vehicle off the roadway, on its side and up against a tree. Prior to the accident, a witness reported the vehicle was traveling south on Route 31 at a high rate of speed.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, identified as Ray Altamirano, 24, of Carpentersville, was found underneath the car. He was declared dead at the accident scene at 12:44 p.m.
