Aurora Motorcycle Collision On West Indian Trail Injures Motorcyclist

Kane County Motorcycle Collision

There was an Aurora motorcycle collision Sunday (September 16, 2018) evening.  As is common in Kane County motorcycle accidents this Aurora motorcycle collision allegedly involved a vehicle that made a left-hand turn immediately in front of an oncoming motorcycle.  The motorcyclist was injured in the accident.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the motorcycle apparently “did not see” the motorcycle prior to the collision.

The collision occurred at approximately 6:06 p.m. in the 300 block of West Indian Trail.

An excerpt regarding this Aurora motorcycle collision, as seen in the September 17, 2018 Aurora Beacon-News article titled “Naperville motorcyclist injured in two-vehicle Aurora crash“, regarding the driver of the vehicle, Hollie Williamson:

She said she observed the traffic to be clear and as she turned her vehicle it was struck on its passenger side by a motorcycle driven by Matthew Thompson of Naperville, who was traveling eastbound on West Indian Trail, police said.

As seen in the article, Williamson was cited for failure to yield when turning left, as well as having no insurance and driving on a suspended license.

Thompson was taken to an Aurora hospital for treatment of his accident injuries.
