Aurora IL Collision Results In Pickup Truck Rollover

Kane County Pickup Truck Collision

There was a collision involving two pickup trucks on Friday afternoon, December 9, 2016 in Aurora.

According to Aurora Police, police responded to the accident scene at approximately 5:46 p.m.  The crash had happened at North Ohio Street and Liberty Street, and involved a vehicle rollover.

The drivers of the two pickup trucks were a 22-year-old man driving a 1992 GMC Sierra, and a 48-year-old man driving a 1994 Ford Ranger.

The Sierra driver, a 22-year-old man, told police he had been northbound on North Ohio Street at Liberty Street when the Ranger, westbound on Liberty, failed to stop at the stop sign. The Sierra was unable to stop in time and T-boned the Ranger, according to police reports.

The Sierra driver was reportedly not injured, but his two passengers, whose ages were not released, , sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. Medics transported both passengers to Presence Mercy Medical Center.

There was a passenger in the Ranger who was taken by paramedics to Presence Mercy Medical Center.  The driver of the Ranger was also later taken to Presence Mercy Medical Center.  That driver faces several charges in relation to the accident.
